CLADDING MATTERS: “Master Builder: Is Someone Promoting Failure?” Only one builder in the UK has been credited with the title of Master Builder, which is somewhat paradoxical given the circumstances. This same builder recently received millions of pounds in investment funding for a new project. The same builder has left over one thousand residents under fire-risk conditions for twenty-two years. Those same residents, populating over four hundred and fifty flats, have seen the value of their homes become practically worthless. The majority are now paying sizeable mortgages for properties with massive negative equity. Management fees are now overblown, and to crown it, insurance companies, on the realisation of the massive risk of fire and its outcome, have had to increase the cost of insurance dramatically. The Master Builder championed and invested in by the government could reverse the situation, although they have chosen not to. The government and likely many councils rely on this Master Builder to help resolve the housing shortage. Yet this builder’s history shows that over thirty per cent of their flat builds have been under fire risk over the last thirty years. Would you like to live in one of the properties they have built? Want to find out more? There was a podcast earlier today with the very title, “CLADDING MATTERS: “Master Builder: Is Someone Promoting Failure?” The podcast features a resident from a seriously impacted group of flats who has suffered the above crashing indignities. Over now, the podcast can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/video/live/urn:li:ugcPost:7253043550995582976/?lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_pulse_read%3B90TOUfVoQ7%2BIlPzJkKCbxw%3D%3D Leave us some comments, and if you are experiencing similar from a builder please get in touch and let us know of your experiences. You could even join as a guest on one of our future podcasts that we have every Friday at 3:00
