💡 How many lenders ask you what's important to you? 🤔 There's an assumption that everyone wants the cheapest interest rate - but I think many just want a fair price. Now we all know that it's difficult to compare like with like anyway....and you need to look at all of the fees and costs, and how the lender performs - and critically how they support you (or not) when things don't quite go to plan 🙏 Through my dealings with direct borrowers in particular, the regular contact I have, and site visits, I know that cashflow and relationships are really high on the list of needs for property developers and investors 🤝 How does your lender support you? Do they understand how critical cashflow is to your business? Do they understand that you need a drawdown quickly so your supplier doesn't block your trade terms? so your trades don't walk off site and go elsewhere? so you can pay yourself a wage? At the weekend I read the free book from Karl Roberts called the profit compass - and this particular part really resonated with me: "People are smart, they realise that the cheapest option doesn't always provide the best value for money" I recommend taking a look - it's a short read but some great reminders - and great tips for growth plans 👌 #cashflow #property #developers #relationships
