Hi everyone So happy to finally be able to speak to you all - I've been receiving notifications of posts, and not been able to answer (very old phone that can't accommodate ios17!) I'm Dawn, and I 'virtually met' Chris through Linkedin around October time I think? So been following UK Homes Network through that platform, and attending webinars etc. during that time. Originally from Nottinghamshire, with a Welsh husband from Prestatyn, North Wales. I'm an 'ex RAF' wife, married into it until he left after 23 years, and during that time I was PA to the Squadron Leader of the Air Movements Flight in RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus, and I've been the Deputy and Manager of 4 Pre-Schools in the area we now live. So, a varied career. I'm now a property investor and developer, and 'had' a small BTL portfolio which was based in Doncaster. However, living in North Norfolk, we decided that it was too far away, and now really want to build our presence here in Norfolk. We've subsequently sold off all but one - this one really has tested our resilience over the past TWO years - can you believe! It's currently awaiting a new tenant, and that will be the odd one up there for us. We've been wanting to connect to Supported Living providers for the past year, but haven't really managed to make headway as we'd like thus far. We have a BIG outcome to buy or build 'Douglas Hostel' (working title), in order to get the homeless off the streets of Norwich, give them an address to allow them to claim for benefits/apply for employment etc. whilst also receiving any support they may need in order to become self sufficient again. Obviously, the sooner we could do this, the better, and offering our properties to those who require support at this stage, will hopefully connect us to people who can help us to attain this, in the future. Living on the coast, we also look at potential Holiday Lets, and our building blocks were always BTL properties, so basic BTL's as well as Flips are also on our radar.
