I became an entrepreneur 367 days ago. And I’m not going to lie it has been brutal. During the first 3 months: → Quit my job, moved from Germany to London to the West Midlands → Worked jobs that weren’t for me to get by, whilst trying to get back into my profession (property) → Fell into the trap of throwing money at property training courses out of fear and desperation, trying make something work 0 - 5 months: → Started my sourcing business → Gained my NAPSA accreditation as a professional sourcing agent → Figured sourcing wasn’t something that aligned to me full time → Joined the AFPI network 5 - 8 Months → Found a niche that aligns with my goals, values and skillset (Finance) → Partnered with Fundspace That’s when everything was turned upside down. Massive burnout and a major health scare. → I was working +12 hour days → Stressed, anxious, pressurised to make things work → My health and relationships suffered. I almost quit there and then, however I reframed my perspective, adjusted and continued. → I learnt to prioritise my health → I try to prioritise my relationships (but I don’t always get this right!) → Started to enjoy the process → Took another job to reduce the pressure Since then the results have been amazing. We are now servicing over 50+ Developers on our platform. → Saving them 000s on hidden fees → Providing them transparent and honest property finance → Saving them valuable time by eliminating the hassle of sourcing and securing property finance Entrepreneurship is difficult - but it provides a freedom and creativity that can’t be replaced. I am very grateful I get to do what I do, and that I now have, some, knowledge and understanding on how enjoy the process… as much as possible! 😂 Entrepreneurs, how was your first year?
