Property Sourcing has a terrible reputation, so much so that they/we have to call ourselves 'portfolio builders', Investment Concierge and God knows whatever else. 🙄 Reminds me of the Blind Date episode when Cilla Black asked a guy what a 'Marine Chef' was... 'I fry fish in a chip shop.' 🐟😂 Sourcing is terrible because there's no industry standard. No QC of training. No qualifications. Too many 3 day weekend courses from 'gurus' selling dreams. It's the Wild West. 🤠🐎 Except it isn't if you know what to look for... Non-compliant sourcers are not only ruining the sector with their p**s-poor knowledge and experience. They're also in line for some huge fines and possibly even court dates!👨‍⚖️💷 Sourcers must be: ⚖️ ✅️Registered with a property Ombudsman ✅️Compliant with HMRC AML ✅️Registered to hand personal data (ICO) ✅️Have contracts and risk assessments in place.
