Negative into a positive! After my negative post last week about an outgoing tenant damaging an apartment in the portfolio, let's put a positive spin on it The apartment has plenty of equity in it Someone more deserving will now be housed in a very nice property The tenant never missed a rent payment The tenant has a guarantor I have learned that it is probably worth doing an interim inspection between notice and the tenant vacating This apartment has still made a good chunk of change regardless of the damage So looking at it positively, this isn’t as bad as it might first seem and dealing with a problem tenant could be seen as an occupational hazard Property is still my ‘go to’ investment and it will take a lot for me to think otherwise
