Rollercoaster of a week… On Tuesday, I was laid off from my subcontracting job with short notice. Not going to lie, it left me feeling a bit vulnerable. But after 18 months of building my property sourcing businesses, learning, networking, developing my mindset, and putting in the graft nobody gets to witness this was the moment to put it all into play. Rather than dwell on the situation, I took action. I focused on small actionable steps, taking in one day at a time. Starting with lead generation, I let my the network I’ve been building over the last 18months know my circumstances, and thankfully, JC Developments was already set up to complement my sourcing business and ready for business. Within 24hrs, I had two big building jobs to price,(flip and a extension) plus a handful of smaller ones—proof that the work you put in behind the scenes pays off when it matters most. Nothing confirmed yet, but one thing’s for sure—opportunities don’t come to you if you sit around waiting. Action creates momentum. If you’ve faced setbacks in business, what steps did you take to push forward? Feel free to comment.
