Most people try to manage stress with quick fixesβdeep breathing, exercise, or meditation - all the stuff you'll get in your self help books. But if you donβt address the root cause, the stress isn't really going to go anywhere. Here's some help for you. β‘οΈ Spot the patterns β Track when and where stress hits hardest. Is it during certain meetings? At specific times of the day? Fitness trackers like WHOOP are great, I use one personally. β‘οΈ Identify the real trigger β Is it workload, people, unrealistic expectations, or lack of control? β‘οΈ Consider your lifestyle choices - it may be time to change a few things β‘οΈ And then tackle it at the source... Often, stress isn't about the task itself but how we feel about it. β If itβs workload, re-prioritise and delegate. β If itβs unclear expectations, have direct conversations. β If itβs lack of control, focus on what is within your power. β Lifestyle? Maybe it's time for an overhaul. Ongoing, relentless levels of stress are so unhealthy for you. (A major contributor to your belly fat too.) If you are a business leader wanting to work on you, healthy habits, lower stress levels, maybe it's worth us having a conversation? I'll leave that thought with you. Chris - Your Results Coach.
