How do you calm yourself down when you feel yourself becoming stressed? Here are a few of my own personal favourite ways that can help: 🎵LISTEN TO MUSIC - Listening to music can decrease stress by putting your mind at ease, which in turn can have a relaxing effect throughout your whole body. 😴SLEEP - have a bedtime routine. If you're struggling to fall asleep, yoga nidra is wonderful (find it for free on @insighttimer) 💕CONNECT - Call or spend time with people. Reach out, even if you're not sure what you're going to say. Connection is so important. 🤸♀️MOVE YOUR BODY - In whatever way feels good for you! Be it yoga, dancing, tai chi, skipping, gardening or walking! Anything that feels fun and joyful. It’s all great for releasing all those feel-good hormones.. 🌲SPEND TIME IN NATURE - Nature is calming and soothing on your nervous system. Go outside, breathe that fresh air in deeply and enjoy all the beautiful sights and sounds. 💭THINK POSITIVELY - what are you grateful for? Thinking of things you are grateful for every day will shift your mindset to one that is more positive and calm, and will put life back into perspective. 🧘MEDITATE: Spending even a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace. Anyone can practice meditation. It's simple and inexpensive, and it doesn't require any special equipment. 📞If none of the above activities ease your stress, please get in touch.
