Hoarding. Often overthought but essential on-site where marketing and site security for the development are concerned. If you're unsure about cost or material choice, here's your main options: ✅ Heras mesh: semi-transparent fabric applies to metal fencing (as seen in the image)...suitable for the smallest developments with the shortest completion time Colours will not be very vibrant. Cost effective. Usually billed per meter. Allows wind pass-through so reduced risk of collapse. Fast to print. Doesn't hide unsightly site mess. Usually prone to vandalism. ✅ Printed Plywood: plywood backed hoarding with vinyl applied graphics over the top...for projects with a medium completion time Higher quality printed finish via adhesive vinyl, greater detail and colour. Will be seen on mid-level developments in concentrated urban areas. Can age poorly if erected for a long period. More expensive than Heras. Will hide on-site mess. ✅ Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP): panels made of two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium core...for larger developments where site safety and privacy is important. Highest quality, excellent colour and detail in your graphics. Rigid and more resistant to weather long term. Will hide on-site mess seamlessly. Seen on high-end urban developments. Graffiti resistant with good quality vinyl. The most costly. Cost vs. durability vs. time on site is your main deciding factor, which one are you going to prioritise? Then finally is the design - is this hoarding marketing the single development for off-plan completion/rent or is it advertising your business as a whole? Food for thought!
