At the height of Covid, I was 20 stone. Drunk most nights. Living off pizza, burgers and cheese toasties. I looked in the mirror and barely recognised the person staring back. Fast forward to now: I’m 15 and a half stone. The majority of that weight was shed not through a health kick, but through the relentless stress of launching a business from scratch. It’s not a straight line. My diet still isn’t perfect. I’m on the road a lot, grabbing whatever’s quick. But something big has changed: my mindset and my priorities. Every single morning, I train. I take a cold plunge. I supplement with magnesium, lion’s mane, vitamin D2 + K3 and B12. I’ve been clean and sober for two years. Apart from coffee and the vape, most of my negative vices are gone. And when my mental health dips, which it still does (regularly) I don’t let it derail me. Even when I feel like rubbish and my self-esteem takes a hit, I keep going. Because I’ve realised something important: I’m not just prioritising my health for me. I’m doing it for my business. For the people who rely on me. For the future I’m building. This discipline helps keep me moving forward, even when I don’t feel like it. Until I can start to feel good again. If you’re building something and struggling behind the scenes - you're not alone. Progress doesn’t always look pretty. But it’s still progress.
