PLEASE READ: Why due diligence matters more than ever in the Property Industry! There’s been a lot of noise recently on social media following a viral video making serious accusations about a well-known figure in the property world. While we’re not here to name names or add fuel to the fire, it has sparked some much-needed conversations; especially around due diligence, trust, and protecting yourself in business. Inspired by @mark, Founder of MING, we want to echo an important message: Know who you're working with. Whether it's investment partners, JV collaborators, mentors or sourcers vet them properly. Don’t just go by what they say online. Look for real-world experience, results, reviews, and compliance with industry standards. 🔎 A few tips when working with others in the property space: Ask for case studies or previous deals Check for FCA compliance (especially with deal sourcers) Get references Don’t skip legal advice, especially for JVs Be wary of anyone promising "guaranteed returns" 🚫 Why we don’t allow deals in the main feed on UK Homes Network We've had to make tough calls already in our journey, removing members who weren’t operating with the right intentions or who ignored the rules around deal promotion. That’s why all deals are kept behind a paywall in Land Match, House Match, and Commercial. It’s not about restricting opportunity: it’s about protecting our network. These areas are monitored, and that paywall acts as a natural filter, discouraging bad actors and non-compliant sourcers from jumping in and spraying deals around like confetti. We also regularly remind our members to follow strict FCA regulations around deal promotion, both on UKHN and social media. Let’s keep the industry clean, compliant, and credible. 👥 Want to raise your standards and get ahead? Then make sure you're at UKHN Connect on 12th May, where we’ll be joined by Tina Walsh, founder of NAPSA (National Association of Professional Sourcing Agents). Tina’s been flying the flag for better standards in property sourcing for years, and her insight has never been more needed. Llet’s keep this industry moving forward together. #DueDiligence #PropertySourcing #UKHomesNetwork #NAPSA #PropertyCommunity #FCACompliance #ProtectYourDeals
