Can I Tell You A Secret? Give me an office over a muddy building site any day of the week! I’m a bit of an office dweller unfortunately I like planning, strategy, searching for opportunities and talking with people I’m not so fond of near zero temperatures, driving rain and calluses on my hands But just recently I have been doing so much paperwork I’d swap places with a tradesman in a heartbeat I’m currently in the process of buying a project that is due for completion in a couple of weeks And I have been doing a LOT of paperwork Report for this, report for that Back and forth with solicitors It’s draining But it has proved one thing to me… Variety is the spice of life I have a wide range of interests - exercise, music, politics, reading, cooking, business Which I have neglected trying to get this deal over the line I will NEVER forget about them again Having these other interests and pursuing them improves your performance I believe, so I really don’t know why I stopped doing most of them I understand that we need to work hard and be fully focused at times to perform and get shit done but there needs to be balance if you feel yourself slipping The general idea of this post isn’t a preachy one, but to advise you no matter how much you need to work to get a project finished or secure a deal, you should always try and find time for a little time outside of work to decompress and not neglect yourself Moving on… With this deal about to complete it means two things… I have capacity for another project I want to work with more private investors So if you can help with sourcing a project or know someone who wants to invest into deals… Let me know by sending me a message
