My number one best acquisition of all time, meet Arlo! He’s 6 now and he’s the first dog I’ve ever had. I was approaching my 40’s when he joined our family and I’ve no idea what I used to do before he came along! He gets me out of the house and into the beautiful Yorkshire hills and countryside that I’m lucky enough to call home. While I sometimes (regularly) struggle for motivation to get into the gym, pull the bike out of the shed or go for a few laps in the pool. Walking my boy is a genuine pleasure. This is my me time, when I get listen to books or my favourite playlists and unwind. As I’m now getting on in years, I firmly believe a regular brisk walk is one of the best things for your health and at weekends we have family time together which almost always revolves around picking a nice spot for a good yomp, it’s a none negotiable and the kids love it to even if they might moan at the suggestion! What’s the best not-property related acquisition you ever made?
