My routine isn’t exactly typical, I know to some it may even sound crazy. With new colleagues getting to know my life beyond the office over the last month, I’ve heard ‘wait, you do what?’ a few times 😂 My day rarely starts much later than 4am, trust me some times I’d like it to but my mind & body seem to thrive on consistency. I head to the gym for cardio and weights, then over to the sauna. Same routine, every single morning when local to home. I drink 6-7L of water and eat pretty much the exact same meals all week. Since massively reducing the processed stuff, I just feel sharper. More stable energy, better mood, clearer head. Some might see it as obsessive but, the structure gives me so much clarity. It sets the tone for how I want everything to run each day.📈 I don’t seem to hear people talk about how personal routines can affect professional performance nearly enough. The way I start my day has a direct impact on how I show up at work. By the time I’m at my desk, I’ve already trained, held a few conversations on multiple subjects (if you’ve experienced sauna chat before, you know what I mean) so the brain is functional and fuelled with purpose. I’m not reacting to the day - I’m ahead of it.🚀 It gives me time to think clearly, handle pressure better, and stay focused when things get busy (which, let’s face it, is most days in this sector). There’s less stress, more control, and a real difference in how I manage challenges. Of course, this routine wouldn’t suit everyone. We all operate differently and have varying life commitments of course but whatever your version looks like, having a rhythm that keeps you energised, focused and feeling your best? That’s the real win. When we’re always looking at the best systems, the best processes, the best strategies in our businesses it’s so easy to overlook the behind the scenes habits that shape performance. For me, this routine is the foundation. It’s not about being extreme although it might sound it, it’s about creating the conditions that help me stay consistent, calm and switched on.🎯
