I spent the last year developing software and systems that will give my company an edge. The software does a lot of the heavy lifting during the search/analyses phase. It flags “properties with potential” in any UK postcode. I’ve tested it by walking the streets. Armed with the “hotlist”, a clipboard, and leaflets, I patrol my patch like a hawk. I’ve seen properties that make the hotlist come on the market within weeks (sometimes days) of them being flagged. Instead of allowing high-street agencies to dominate, I’m getting their first with wax sealed envelopes. Now, I’m getting frequent calls from homeowners looking to sell. AI generated letter templates shouldn’t be used for reaching out to homeowners. You need to get personal. Behind the scenes work is very important. It might not feel like you’re getting anywhere while you’re sat in an office behind a computer, but it is important to build efficient systems. Those systems will amplify your output. That doesn’t mean spend a lifetime building. You have to know when to draw the line and say it’s good enough. Spending too much time over analysing and building will lead to stagnation. I would rather risk stagnation than go into a battle unarmed and ill-equipped, but I also don’t wanna miss the fight.
