I apologise to all tenants in advance… but really it should be Rachel from accounts Rachel Reeves is proposing to put 8% NI onto income generated from rental property And the reason for an apology… Rent will have to go up if it’s imposed Margins are tight as it is with increases in costs and legislation And this new tax, well, it just won’t be absorbable, so needs to be passed on I feel like my wallet is open and every now and then good old Rach comes along and helps herself to a few notes - at least Dick Turpin wore a mask! There is one thing that I’m not clear on though, does this tax raid only include landlords who have property in their own name or will it include limited companies as well?
