Did you know that even with our little 'mini-mos' (3/4 beds) it is a requirement to test the fire alarms regularly at least once a month? This is because... 1) they can wear out 2) tenants can tamper with them. Do regular testing to help you sleep at night. I recently found a fault on one of mine 😭. You are unlikely to need a fire panel just electric hardwired ones that all link together. If you use an agent make sure they do it too. Always record you have done it as in the unlikely event of a fire you will need to prove you did it. It gives you a chance to do a quick check on fire doors too (making sure they close properly and there are no gaps). Fines are huge for getting this wrong 😱.
