They’re saying it could save buyers around £700 and shave a month off the process Here’s what they’re proposing: Sellers giving key info upfront when listing a property - GREAT Earlier binding contracts to stop deals collapsing or people being gazumped - GREAT But more digital tools to speed up ID checks and conveyancing - NOT SO GREAT, could this be digital ID? If they can actually streamline the legal side and cut out the endless back and forth between agents, buyers and solicitors - then that could be absolutely what we need What do you think?
