For any commercial property landlords out there, quick reminder that the 2026 business rates revaluation is fast approaching. The draft list is due to be released in Q4 (probably end of November, but date TBC), and the new values go live April 1st 2026. From that date, the window to appeal any rateable values in the 2023 list closes, we are expecting values to rise across most asset classes and changes to the multiplier for Retail, Hospitality & Leisure plus the end of the 40% relief for this sector. It will no doubt affect most commercial rate payers in some way, so its worth planning for early. Feel free to reach out with any questions on the reval, or any other rating matters.
