From Harry Vincent’s first red-brick factory and the launch of Blue Bird Toffees in the 1930s, to the post-war years that carried Hunnington’s craftsmanship across the world, each decade shaped the story we honour today. By the 1990s, the Welfare Building’s legacy became part of local history, later recognised with Grade II listed status in 2019.
