Yesterday was a rollercoaster 🎢 We’d done all the groundwork, numbers checked and JV partner secured. The property was a great opportunity, and we were confident going into the auction. As the bids rolled in, we were on top for most of the day, watching with that mix of excitement and nerves every investor knows too well. Then, in the final moments… it went wild. 💸 The numbers shot way past our limit. It’s always tempting to stretch, to just “go a little higher”, but discipline is everything in property. We held our nerve and stuck to our max bid. Did we win? No. Did we overpay? Also no. And that’s a win in itself. 🙌 It’s easy to feel disappointed when a deal slips away, but every “missed” opportunity teaches you something and sets you up for the next one. The right deal will come along, and when it does, we’ll be ready.
