I gave everything in this interview and probably overshared. This chat with Athena Dobson on the Girls in Property Podcast is the most honest I have ever been in public. We got into the stuff that does not usually make it into a polished LinkedIn post. The nights out that turned into blackout. The “high performer” routine that was really drink and drugs holding everything together with tape. The panic of being an estate agent living on a pipeline, pretending everything was fine while my head was doing the opposite. I talked about the moment I knew something had to change. How that messy chapter eventually led to starting UK Homes Network. Not as a shiny start-up story, but as a way to build the kind of space I wish I had when I was struggling in this industry. We also got into the realities of content. Everyone sees the final 60 seconds on Instagram or LinkedIn. What they do not see is me taking 34 attempts to get one video I am vaguely happy to post. The self doubt. The “who do you think you are” voice. And why I keep hitting record anyway. Athena asked questions that did not let me hide behind business chat. We spoke about some of the worst interactions I have had in property, the best people I have met, and why I still believe this industry is full of good humans trying to do the right thing in a very noisy world. If you have ever battled with your own head, felt the pressure of targets, or looked at social media and thought “everyone else is miles ahead of me,” I think this episode will land with you. I am proud of this one and a little terrified of it at the same time. That probably means it is worth watching. You can watch the full Girls in Property episode with Athena here
