Landlords take houses from owner occupiers Landlords are the problem with this Country Landlords take up all the housing stock These are just some of the rumours swirling around about landlords And they are, on the whole, false Landlords normally buy run down/derelict/uninhabitable properties that most buyers run away from They turn these into wonderful homes… safe homes, for people to move into These homes otherwise would never have made it back into circulation  And landlords might even sell at some point which brings more homes onto the sales market Not everyone wants to buy a home either so landlords are providing a service for those who have mobile jobs or want to rent whilst going through a divorce for example A lot of people see owning property as their pension, we’re told to prepare for the future, but apparently when landlords do that, it’s crime of the century Did you know that  45% of landlords own just one property 38% own between two and four 17% own five or more Do some people just begrudge people for trying to get on in their lives? Is it jealousy? Is it something else? What will the budget do to ostracise landlords further?
