Last night in Derby was my final time on stage for the year. It has given me a bit of time to stop and think. If I look back to how I started 2025 it is a bit mad. I had zero public speaking experience. I didn’t even have a motor on the road. I spent last Christmas quietly googling warehouse jobs because I was genuinely terrified we were going to run out of cash. We had also completely ruled out running our own events. We honestly didn't have the confidence that they would be any good. We thought nobody would turn up. Then along came Shane Traynor. Fast forward to now. I finally have a van on the road. It is full of 'character' (which is a polite way of saying it has seen better days) but it gets me from A to B. I have somehow managed to complete nearly 50 talks across the industry. And best of all we welcomed Shane & Rich to the senior leadership team to help steer the ship and Aaisha supporting our efforts in the North. This year has given me more than most and I really need to be grateful for that. Next year is going to be different gear again. We have four massive events planned. A completely new app built from the ground up. And a funding round that is going to propel us into the minds of every property professional in the country. I'd probably earn more but it beats working in a warehouse.
