Some really interesting patterns in the UK STR market this year. Despite increased talk of further regulations, hosts faced increased competition this year from a growing number of properties entering the market. Overall, throughout the country, occupancy has been down on previous years (which makes sense when you consider the backdrop of tightening belts throughout the UK...) But, here's the kicker, ADRs remained healthy, and grew for the majority of the country. Is this a case of over-optimistic pricing leading to fewer bookings, or simply a discerning customer base with greater choice when looking for the "right" STR? *all data taken from Property Market Intel, the UK's most powerful data platform*
