Great to be joining the Network. I just wanted to give you all a brief, authentic insight into me and our business. I joined construction to help my Dad in his role as a building inspector. I was stepping into a world he already knew inside out. Pretty quickly, I developed a passion for building, architecture, and most importantly supporting clients and solving problems. At the same time, I built strong relationships with key suppliers across design and certification. From domestic extensions, to new-build housing, conversions and commercial projects — including involvement in the largest rehearsal studio project in the UK. Fast forward 13 years and we’ve founded a business to support our clients and SME supply chain — built by industry, for industry — helping people navigate the complex processes of planning conditions, engineering, SAP, and building regulations. My education came from time on site and training as a Building Control Surveyor under my Dad’s experience. He started as a bricklayer, became a Chartered Building Engineer, and then a Building Control Officer. Today, we work together — delivering a genuine one-stop-shop for developers. I also built a self-made digital portal system to manage projects and supply chain from quote to completion. But the real work still happens in-house — myself, my Dad, and my colleague — working closely to deliver what we promise. If you’re a developer or service provider, we operate a two-way collaboration. As we grow nationwide, we’re building depth in the squad — people on the bench when players get busy. There may be services you’re asked for that we can deliver on your behalf — earning you commission and ensuring your client gets the solution. If you build houses, convert offices, or work in retail or commercial — nothing is too big or too small. My advice is always free. We do a lot of work that never hits an invoice, because we know what it’s like to build a business from scratch. That’s the foundation of how we operate. One Stop Consult was born in 2017 — just four years after I entered the industry. I went from stepping into my Dad’s role, to becoming solution-driven through collaboration and sales. I sell — and I’m good at it — but delivery is the key. We’ve weathered many storms — Covid and everything that came with it. It’s been hard. It really has. But we’re not going away. Today, my Dad and I are in this together. No funding. No investors. Built from scratch. I backed our supply chain through trust and long-term relationships formed under my Dad’s organisation — but I wanted a new brand, a new business, a name that sells itself through reputation and results. And here we are — 13 years on — still battling, still growing, and striving to compete with the big boys. If we can help each other — let’s talk.
