Not everything you read reflects what’s really happening. I keep seeing stats and headlines pointing to growth in alternative finance, but based on what I’m seeing day to day, getting deals from start to finish feels harder than ever. The conversations I’m having with brokers and lenders I trust all point to the same thing. Enquiries are there. Applications are there but completing deals is taking more scrutiny, more work and more realism than people might expect. For me, the focus now is not chasing big growth headlines. It’s backing the right deals, working closely with the right people, and being honest about the market we’re actually operating in.
