Following on from Dr Su Lee's post regarding men's mental health, I wanted to share the below details of a charity set up by a member of my local property networking group In Morecambe, Lancashire. NO MAN LEFT BEHIND _Suicide is the biggest killer of men. Too many are struggling in silence — with their mental health, purpose, and direction. We’re raising funds to save St Laurence Church in Morecambe and transform it into the home of No Man Left Behind — a family-based community centre focused on men’s mental health, faith, brotherhood, community care and support. The centre will include: • A gym and boxing facilities • Mental health and peer support groups • Veteran and service-leaver support • Faith-led guidance, mentorship, and accountability • A safe space for families and the wider community By saving this church, we’re not just preserving a building — we’re saving lives and rebuilding families. Until the church is ready up to 30 men meet regularly in Williamson's Park, Lancaster and train together including sparing, weights and running. The next meet is on 21/02/26 07.00 and if anyone is local and would like to join them you are more than welcome.
