Hopefully I introduced myself well enough on my first post and you now know a little bit about me. I will now explain what J Bay Properties will be doing. I've got a dream: to have a property portfolio, to be travelling the world, living on my own terms, making wonderful memories, but before that becomes a reality (hopefully), I need to build some trust, credibility, knowledge & skill within the property sector. I'm not going to lie to you, I'm brand new to this, BUT I do have 35 years of life experience, nearly 22 years of work experience, and 10 years of healthcare experience, so I'm confident I bring some good things to the table. My initial vision of getting into property was flipping unloved houses, making them safe and beautiful for young families to live in, and while I think I'm capable of this, I need some experience first (this will be phase 2 of my plan) I've heard a lot of talk about Property Sourcing as a quick, cheap 'property strategy' to get started with. 'It's so easy', 'You can make £5000 per sale', 'You'll be quids in before you know it' and while all of that might be true (or not?), I want to do things in the right way for me and my business: feeling aligned, feeling confident and building trust along the way. I have grown up in and around the Preston area, I currently work in Preston & Chorley, so I know the areas in and around Preston pretty well. This is why I'm going to be sourcing below market value (BMV) property opportunities in Lancashire (and surrounding areas) for busy property investors. My prime focus will be 2–3 bed houses that need modernisation, where the numbers stack up, and the risk is accounted for.
