This clip is from our February Care Property Hub event at Edgbaston Golf Club. Alex shared something that really stuck with me. Before he starts any development, he sits down with the care provider and asks what problems they have in their existing properties. One provider was struggling with something as simple as moving food from the kitchen to the dining room. Doors in the way, people walking past, food getting spilled. It was causing daily frustration for staff. So in the next property, Alex put the kitchen right next to the diner and added a pass through hatch. Problem solved. It sounds small, but that is the difference between developing a property and developing a home that works for the people living and working in it.
