If you're staging your own property for sale, it's super important to understand that it's not just about the furniture. It's about the interior styling too. This is JUST as important! 🙌 Why? Proper, professional level styling will add that final layer of polish. You might not believe me but it's what's going to make someone walk into a room and just feeeeeel something. The furniture will help them understand how the space works ✅ that's the logic part of buying. But as we know, us humans buy with emotion first and follow with logic. The interior styling will do this bit for you. A sofa won't sell a house. But the throw on it, the cushions, the lamp beside it, the art above it, the accessories on the coffee table, the well thought through use of colour? That's the bit that makes someone picture their life there. So if you're staging without a stylist, here's what to focus on: Layer your textiles. Throws, cushions, rugs. They add warmth and make a space feel lived in, in the best way. There’s a fine balance between over accessorising and using not enough. Not enough can really cheapen the look. Don’t underestimate how much a house will need to feel complete. Think about height; you can add interest to a scheme by creating different levels of height through side tables, floor lamps and plants. Great styling could get you that asking price you’re looking for. So don't skip it! 😁
