I'm noticing a sad trend in our industry 🥲 Over recent weeks I have been seeing occasional posts from people in the property industry using their platforms to indirectly poke fun at others based on their strategy or experience. Quite frankly I thought we were better than this. This is not even taking shots at the wanna-be property 'guru' types. It's ridiculing people for not having much experience or getting involved in projects that don't consist of full on ground-up developments. It is my firm belief that if you don't enter property through a professional avenue such as an estate agency or working for lenders/brokers or even PropTech providers then you are probably going to start at the bottom and work your way up. Sure we can all have a laugh when someone doesn't know how to spot the difference between double glazing and single glazing and their sourcing fee is upwards of 5K but this inherent snobbery of people just starting out is a bit toxic. Thankfully the people we have attracted to UK Homes Network have only demonstrated love and support to each other, so I'm comforted that our culture is the right one. If you see someone just starting out, don't forget where you started and be the one they remember when they hit your level 💙
