Many dissolved companies still own property long after they disappear from Companies House. Directors often forget to transfer small plots, garage blocks, or even entire buildings during wind-up. When the company is struck off, those assets automatically pass to the Crown as bona vacantia......and sit there, unnoticed, sometimes for decades.
