Glasgow is our North star. David and I, despite growing up in England have been raised Scottish. Every School holiday, every half terms, every celebration or family moment has been in the central belt and Glasgow is the focal point for all of that. Watching the scenes last night it was hard not to feel completely helpless and sad at such a historic building going up in flames. Fortunately it seems no one was hurt but as a business owner, I felt so heartbroken for those individuals who won't be able to come into work today. Glasgow and this particular part of the city, is truly remarkable. Not only is it the main artery for the rest of country but the amount of independent businesses that are positioned here is unlike most cities. I hope there will be a response to this. I know the people of Glasgow will rally round but I hope there will be the same level of enthusiasm to restore this historic building and businesses as we have seen with other iconic buildings.
