The most valuable investment I made this year was not a property deal, not a pension contribution — it was a £1,500 ticket to sit in a room where everyone else had already decided that investing in themselves was completely non-negotiable. What happens when you walk into a room of 200 investors where the entry point was either a £30,000 mastermind or a hard-won competition ticket, and you make a deliberate choice to be the least experienced person present rather than the most comfortable one? You grow faster than any course, any podcast, or any amount of time spent consuming content alone could ever produce. I paid for VIP because the people who upgrade are not doing it for the better seat — they are doing it because they have a deeply established pattern of backing their own growth with real money and real commitment, and that pattern shows up in every conversation you have with them over a weekend. The quality of thinking in that room, the generosity of people sharing what actually worked and what genuinely did not, and the clarity that comes from being surrounded by people further along the journey than you are — that is worth every penny of the ticket price and then some. What made this weekend extraordinary beyond the content was finally being able to hug the property entrepreneurs I have only ever known through a Zoom grid, shake hands properly, and reunite with our Business Buyers Club members and Wealth Business Summit family in person. There is a dimension of trust that only physical presence builds, and this weekend reminded me why I will always find a way to be in the room. If this resonates with where you are in your own investing journey, drop a comment — I genuinely read every one. And if you want to talk about the rooms and projects we are building access to for serious long-term investors, send me a DM and let us find time for a digital cuppa.
