We’re getting close to 3,000 members on UK Homes Network. I’ve been thinking about that a lot this week. Because when David and I started building this, the idea was never to create “just another platform”. In fact, that was probably the biggest fear. The world does not need another app full of noise, half-hearted posting and people lurking in the background waiting to sell something the second you show interest. There’s already plenty of that about. What we wanted was something more useful. Something more relevant. Something that actually felt like it belonged to the UK property industry. And I think we’re getting there. Not because of the number on its own, although getting close to 3,000 members is a big milestone. But because of what is happening inside the platform now. People are posting properly. People are commenting with intent. People are helping each other. People are building relationships without all the usual social media clutter getting in the way. That’s the bit that matters. Because the truth is, a lot of traditional social media now feels like hard work for very little reward. You put time into content, and half the battle is just getting it seen. Then if it is seen, it is often by a mixed bag of people who have nothing to do with your world anyway. That’s never made much sense to me. If you are a landlord, developer or property professional, why should getting your content in front of the right people feel like such a mission? It shouldn’t. That is why UK Homes Network matters. And that is also why I’m asking for your help as we head towards this next milestone. If being part of this platform has been useful for you, bring someone in. A colleague. A client. A friend in the industry. Someone you know who would actually contribute and get value from being here. Not just to make the numbers look good. That part is irrelevant on its own. Bring in the people who are tired of shouting into the void on traditional social media. Bring in the people who still believe networking should lead to actual relationships. Bring in the people who want to post, engage, contribute and be part of something that feels a bit more grounded than the usual online circus. Because the platform only gets better when the right people are in the room. And I think that’s what we’re building now. A better room for the property industry.
