You’ve been passing by a property every day on your way to town. The property looks abandoned. You’ve passed it probably hundreds of times, and you finally decide to find out what the story is. You manage to find the title number using the Land Registry. You purchase the title deed for £7. You pull up the PDF and see that the registered owner is a limited company from London. So you head to Companies House and find out the company was dissolved in 2022. You do some more digging on the company, but you’re not sure what to do next. You really want to purchase it, so you talk to your solicitor. They don’t know what to do about it either. Your solicitor says, “Let me research this.” Weeks go by and you’re no further ahead. Your solicitor’s been running in circles, calling lenders and trying to reach prior directors. Weeks turn into months. You’re done paying for “legal research”, so you forget about it and write off the bill. A year and a half later, you see scaffolding going up around the property and materials being staged. If only you knew two years ago that all you had to do was send an email… DM me to learn more.
