I was really pleased to be asked to join Manchester Student Homes this week at the MSH awards. It was great to see the university accommodation office getting involved and celebrating landlords, students, and the local community for working together, providing high quality student accommodation and services. MSH take nominations from students and the public for these awards so the recognition is based on real feedback from real people - not pre‑written submissions. (or I would have nominated myself ha ha!) Over the last nearly 30 years in the property industry, I have spent so much of it in student world. I also have very strong ties to University life - being the only one in my family who hasn't had a career at University. My dad used to delight in telling worried parents not to be concerned about their children's performance - as his daughter was an Estate Agent 😆 Landlords and students so often get a bad reputation, so I loved seeing excellence recognised and positive stories. The Students who won best neighbours had really gone the extra mile and that deserves to be celebrated. In the light of so much bad landlord press - lets share the good!
