30 children's home placements in England last year cost councils over £1 million. Each. Total spend on unregistered children's home placements: £440 million in a single year. Source: Ofsted Annual Report 2024 to 2025. Demand is so far ahead of supply that councils are paying emergency rates for placements in homes that are not even registered. Meanwhile, the registered children's homes sector grew 15 percent in 2024 to 2025, the fastest growth I have seen in this market. That is the gap. Next Tuesday, 5 May, I am unpacking the children's homes investment opportunity at the next CPH event in Birmingham. I will cover: Where demand is concentrated (and why the North West is overbuilt while other regions are starved) What returns actually look like, with real pipeline numbers The step-by-step process to source, assess, and secure a deal in this space What providers are actively asking us for right now Henna Mahmood is also speaking on supported accommodation and the rent-to-rent model. Tuesday 5 May, 6 to 9pm, Edgbaston Golf Club, Birmingham B15 3TB. Book at event.carepropertyhub.co.uk #ChildrensHomes #SupportedHousing #PropertyInvestment #CarePropertyHub
