Nobody posts the ugly bit. The orange kitchen cupboards. The wood panelled walls. The carpet that looks like it was designed in 1974 and never once updated. This is our Nuneaton project before a single thing has been touched. A 4 bed property that we are converting into a 6 or 7 bed premium coliving HMO. And yes, it looks like this right now. Here’s the thing that took me a while to understand about property. The worse it looks, the better the opportunity. Because the people who can only see what’s in front of them walk away. And the people who can see what’s possible move forward. We see two large reception rooms that become additional bedrooms. We see a garage with serious potential. We see a floor plan that lends itself beautifully to co-living. We see a building that will one day house young professionals in a home they’re genuinely proud of.
