One year ago today, I was incredibly honoured to receive my Associate Fellowship from the University of the Built Environment. Looking back at this moment, I realise it represented far more than an award or title. It marked the beginning of a deeper connection between industry, research, education, and public impact. Over the last year, we have worked together on some genuinely meaningful conversations and initiatives around healthy homes, sustainability, building performance, and the future of the built environment. From supporting students and contributing to professional discussions, through to exploring new educational and public engagement projects, it has been a year full of momentum and purpose. What makes me most optimistic is that this still feels like the beginning. There are some exciting collaborations and ideas already taking shape for the future, particularly around healthy housing, wellbeing, education, and helping bridge the gap between research and real world practice. I believe the built environment sector is entering an important period of change, and partnerships grounded in curiosity, evidence, and public good matter more than ever. I remain extremely grateful for the recognition, trust, and support shown by the University over the past year, and I am genuinely excited about what we can continue to build together moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. #wellbeingsurveyor #UniversityOfTheBuiltEnvironment #BuiltEnvironment #HealthyHomes #Sustainability #Research
