Most adults in this country were never taught how money works as a child. If I think back, it wasn't for my family or some close friends, I don't remember anyone really talking about mortgages, interest rates, assets or the difference between cash flow and income. We just absorbed it (or didn't) and figured it out along the way. There's a huge gap in how we educate people about money. But the good news is it's fixable and it doesn't have to start in a classroom.
