Scientific Feng Shui: Have Ancient Environmental Principles Been Misunderstood? Over recent months I’ve been speaking with a number of feng shui specialists, and one thing has become very clear: There is a growing demand for what many people are now calling “scientific feng shui.” The deeper I explore the origins of feng shui, the more fascinating it becomes. At its core, feng shui was deeply focused on environmental harmony: • airflow • orientation • light • balance • sensory experience • materiality • spatial arrangement • emotional response to place Today, modern science increasingly shows that these invisible environmental factors genuinely influence stress, cognition, sleep, recovery and wellbeing. This current heatwave is a perfect reminder that the indoor environment around us can dramatically alter how we physically and psychologically feel within a space. Perhaps ancient cultures were observing real environmental patterns long before modern building science had the tools to measure them. As The Wellbeing Surveyor, this intersection between ancient environmental understanding and measurable modern science is something I’m now exploring deeply. I would genuinely love to hear people’s thoughts on this subject. #wellbeingsurveyor #fengshui #scientificfengshui #healthyhome #wellbeing
