AI - Almost Intelligent Must credit a line in a TV show for this title! As I have posted on this subject previously, receiving some unkind responses [!] I thought the subject worth a few minutes this morning. AI impacts us all, every minute of every day. As a professional practice we have learned to harness the technology to reduce admin and menial tasks which has reduced our operating costs and allowing this to be reflected in our fee structure. Unlike many of our competitors we do not charge for meetings, initial consultations etc and have no formal strategy aimed at moving the conversation on to 'make the sale'. Though this may frustrate our accountants it is the way we choose to operate, given the ever increasing cost burden faced by those we serve. If we know exactly the right questions to ask AI it will prove to be a very useful and free source of information. As of now, it has not learned the various nuances of certain things, relevant to this group. AI is unable to precisely describe the outcomes of fusing more than one structure together; general perception remains that one is best - the 'company' for example. Social media was replete with pushing this envelope over the weekend [every weekend actually!] Whether you stick words like "holding" or "family investment" to it, it changes little except add swathes of complexity, inflexibility and of course, cost. I genuinely fear the world my 3 year old grandson will inherit - not just politically but how he will earn a living to build a life. We can't all work in IT. If this is not a clarion call for remaining in property, then I don't know what is. Yes, renters have more protection.  Yes, the tax burden has increased these last 9 years - just as it has for all business owners. But. People will always need somewhere to live. Many will never get on the mortgage con trick.  We all expect to pay more for food etc - why should rent be any different? Structure right and the rewards will more than compensate for all the crap.
