A new £5,000 deposit mortgage has launched… and it says a lot about where the market is heading. Lloyds has revealed the UK’s most affordable areas for first-time buyers with places like Scotland, the North West and Yorkshire still offering homes around the £150k mark. At the same time, they’ve launched a mortgage product allowing buyers to get on the ladder with just a £5,000 deposit. Personally, I think this highlights two important things for investors and developers.. 👉🏼 affordability is now driving demand more than ever 👉🏼 regional markets are becoming increasingly important We’re seeing more buyers prioritise value, flexibility and lower monthly payments over simply buying in the “traditional hotspots”. And that could create interesting opportunities in areas with: ✔️ lower entry prices ✔️ strong rental demand ✔️ regeneration potential ✔️ improving transport links I also think products like this could help keep first-time buyer activity moving. Especially in more affordable regions where mortgage payments can still stay under £1,000 per month. The market is definitely changing, but there are still opportunities for investors paying attention to where demand is shifting. Stay informed, stay adaptable and keep watching the regional trends 📈 #PropertyInvesting #PropertyInvestor #MortgageBroker #MortgageAdvisor #MortgageAdvice #PropertyDeveloper #PropertyDevelopers #PropertyDevelopment
