I heard a saying the other day that really struck a chord with me: “You grow old too soon, and wise too late.” The more I thought about it, the more it reminded me of the mistakes I’ve made in business and property over the years. The deals I rushed into. The warnings I ignored. The opportunities I didn’t recognise. The lessons I only understood after paying for them. Experience is a funny thing. It gives you the test first and the lesson afterwards. Looking back, there are plenty of things I’d do differently. But then again, without those mistakes, I probably wouldn’t have learnt the lessons that help me make better decisions today. I suppose that’s the journey. Keep learning. Keep adapting.
