Hello everyone,   I'm Dafydd Evans, Managing Director of CA Select Limited.   I specialise in Capital Allowances on commercial property acquisitions, refurbishments and developments, working alongside accountants, solicitors and property professionals across the UK.   I thought I'd introduce myself with a recent example of the type of work we do.   This case involved a community owned Grade II listed hotel in North Wales, acquired as a trading business for £550,000. Following a detailed Capital Allowances review, we identified £91,807 of qualifying expenditure, equivalent to 16.7% of the purchase price.   One of the biggest misconceptions I come across is that listed or historic properties do not qualify for Capital Allowances.
