Hi everyone, I’m Paula, a property investor based in Leicester. I’ve owned a number of properties in the desirable LE2 area for the past nine years, which have been fully managed by letting agents. From 1st July, I’ll be taking back possession and managing them myself as I move into a new area of the business that is quite unfamiliar to me. My current focus is on serviced accommodation, with three-bedroom properties aimed at corporate contractors, NHS staff, relocating professionals and academics. We are not targeting short-term party or event bookings. As I’m entering a part of the industry that’s new to me, I’d really welcome any advice, tips or pointers from those with experience in serviced accommodation. Whether it’s operational systems, guest management, compliance, marketing or common pitfalls to avoid, I’d love to learn from others in the network.
