I am proud and honoured to accept my position as Head of the Party Planning Committee. It was Emily's birthday this weekend and I wanted to do something special, so on Friday morning we packed up the car and headed south. I owed her a proper break. The decision to start a business doesn't just land on you. It lands on the people closest to you. Em has been in the trenches with me through all of it. Never complaining. Quietly holding it together. There to dry the tears when it hits the proverbial fan. So we spent a couple of days in Bath, somewhere we'd always wanted to go. Then on to Wells, the UK's smallest city, because it's where they filmed Hot Fuzz. Emily's favourite film. It was class. I'd recommend it to anyone. Best of all, we both switched off. Work didn't get a single mention. I won't make any strenuous links between a birthday weekend and business. But Em did take a few photos and joke "that'll be on your socials Monday." So I'll take that as approval. Whoever's carrying your business with you behind the scenes, look after them too. They feel every bit of it. Hope you had a good weekend. Ready to go again today.
